PILDORA: Sustainability to The World of The Arts
#FASHIONABILITY kicked off New York Fashion Week bringing together the sustainable fashion world for an immersive experience of the arts at the World of McIntosh Townhouse in the heart of Soho. Hosted by CEO and Founder of Pildora, Christina Almeida, and world known celebrity choreographer, Jermaine Browne, #FASHIONABILTIY honored leaders in the fashion and entertainment industry that work to create positive impact and lead eco-friendly lifestyles including Alexander Acosta and Malaika Haaning, who attended the event.
The night was a magical movement of sustainability as it featured new collections from Querencia Studio and AndAgain in dance performances and fashion presentations, as well as a trailer screening of Más alla de la herencia, a Spanish film that sheds light on The Great Pacific Garbage Patch through its ecological subplot, along with live performances from The Voice’s Kimberly Nichole, crafted cocktails, locally sourced hors d’oeuvres, and more.
At Pildora, their mission is to incorporate and introduce sustainability to the world through the arts. Be it fashion, art, music or movement, they understand that creativity and consistency are critical to delivering their message. Incorporating sustainability into the beauty of peoples daily lives happens gradually and this is another point stressed through Pildora. Pildora approaches sustainability and change from a place of acceptance, not judgement.
The events at Pildora serve as the vehicles for change. These are networking spaces where impactful industry leaders can come together and initiate real change while enjoying unforgettable experiences, leaving little to no waste behind.
